Vehicles will bear a distinctive flag
whenever operating on landing
areas, runways, taxiways, or
peripheral roads at airfields. The
flag will be square, at least 3 feet
on each side, and will be divided
into 9 equal size squares forming
a checkerboard pattern with the
center and the corner squares in
international orange and the
remaining 4 squares in white.
A red flag will be mounted on
vehicles to indicate danger when
considered necessary to caution
personnel of a hazardous
condition in the area.
