3. Turn pump (25) over. Install accessory drive gear (24). Boltholes in rear must align with holes in bearing support.
Install 12 bolts (23). Torque 12 bolts (23) to 23 to 31 lb--ft.
NOTE
Stator cams are identical for both stator assemblies and are index--marked on both sides.
Thrust washers are different; first stator washer is steel while second stator washer is bronze
and has three oil grooves on one side. The first stator has 37 vanes, while second stator has
27 vanes. Cavity into which stator cam fits is shallow in first stator, and deeper in second
stator. Procedures apply to both first and second stator assemblies.
4. Install stator thrust washer (22) into stator. Align holes in thrust washer (22) with holes in stator.
